i thought, hey what if we included something these guys could have some fun in, you know?
it doesn't have to be a skating rink, per se
just something they can relax and chill in

I'd rather spend the time ensuring the ship lasts the minimum of three weeks to get to the nearest planet than worrying about whether the trip is boring.
