He is a passionate man who loves his friends, hates to be wrong, and has a bit of a temper problem. The image of a friendly young man would be the first thing that comes to mind. Basically, Yzak is "a good guy." He and Athrun had many conflicts, but that was because he always an honest man who never played dirty. What the proud Yzak abhors most is "cowardice." That is why he would not allow himself to stay in a safe zone and went to war. And he expected the same level and determination and pride from his enemies. However, such pure thoughts can sometimes lead to a narrowing of one's vision. The shuttle that Yzak thought was full of "cowards running away from the battlefield" was in fact, an evacuation shuttle carrying civilians. Although he himself thought he was fighting with the pride of a duelist, the weapon in his hand is not the rapier of a medieval knight. It's a weapon of massacre that can bury a stranger without the blood touching one's hand. If Yzak remained oblivious to this, he would inevitably become Don Quixote. But he surely realized that it's not enough to be pure. As far as that type of "purity" goes, Azrael was a pure as it gets. Is Yzak a truly noble person who has the courage to change himself? This will be proven by his future actions.
