The recent events have me concerned. I think we should figure out a safety protocol for the mobile suits if something happens. Imagine the base is attacked while people are missing, and one or more of us are gone. The suits are sitting ducks.

Training someone to move or pilot them would take time. We should look into remote auto pilot or pre-programmed commands to follow. For example, if I go missing, the Buster could command the Akatsuki to follow it for a specified distance then land under further notice.

A location in Kyoto and Tokyo to start. One for each base or major available city would be best, given our options.

I can start working on a smaller-scale version of a Cavalier system. A full construct would be too cumbersome and not quick to build, but that was for total remote combat maneuverability. A simple order of "activate and more to x position" would take less construction and shouldn't interfere with any of their designs.

If it's simply that, I doubt we'd need any further equipment, right? It'd be more software programming than anything.

The Cavalier was in part to provide a signal boost, to make it possible for the suits to reach each other over great distances. Even if they can talk to one another in close range, it wouldn't hurt to give them each the equipment so we don't lose that signal at the wrong moment.
